Education is one of the pillars of the Vienna BioCenter. Approximately 5,000 students pursue their Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD degrees at the Vienna BioCenter, affiliated to one of the Universities represented on campus: University of Vienna / Medical University of Vienna or FH Campus Wien.

Vienna BioCenter Scientific Training is a joint initiative of the four research institutes (GMI, IMBA, IMP and Max Perutz Labs), which coordinates different training offers under the motto “Empowering Curious Researchers”.

This initiative includes oppurtunities for pre-graduate education, such as internships and a summerschool. MSc and BSc studies in the field of Molecular Biology are organized by the Max Perutz Labs, a center established by the University of Vienna and the Medical University of Vienna to provide an environment for excellent, internationally recognized research and education in the field of Molecular Biology.

Post-graduate education encompasses the International Vienna BioCenter PhD Program in Molecular Life Sciences (VBC PhD Program) and the Vienna International Postdoctoral Program (VIP2).

All trainings are multidisciplinary, entirely in English and offer fully-funded positions. By clicking on the links below you will find detailed information.
