Faculty of Life Sciences, University of Vienna
The Faculty of Life Sciences is one of the biggest faculties of the University of Vienna, uniting 8 Departments across the fields of Biological Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences and Nutritional Sciences.
The Faculty educates more than 11,000 graduate across 22 degree programs, and 3 Vienna Doctoral Schools, FWF Doctoral programs and innovative training networks. Over 700 scientists conduct world-class basic and applied research.
Five Departments of Biology of the Faculty have found their new academic home in the University of Vienna Biology Building (UBB) as part of the Vienna BioCenter.
The modern and sustainable building houses state-of-the art research infrastructure for 500 employees, as well as teaching laboratories and lecture halls for large audiences.
