VBCF core facility VDRC in "Die Presse"

An article explaining the use of the fruit fly Drosophila melanogaster and its use in the genome research was issued in "Die Presse" on the 11th January 2020. The Vienna Drosophila Resource Center is one of only two existing Drosophila lines stock centers worldwide, and the only one located in Europe. Yearly, the VDRC sends out 100,000 lines to 2000 genome researchers from 53 countries. The flies coming from the Viennese stock center have so far contributed to research results published in more than 3000 scientific publications. Read more.
