VDRC in Ö1 broadcast! A reportage about the Drosophila melanogaster library.

The Vienna Drosophila Resource Center was a guest in the Austria-wide radio station Ö1.

On 28th May 2020, a reportage about the fruit fly library (VDRC) and its importance for research worldwide, was broadcasted by the Austria-wide radio station Ö1. Reinhard Klug, Lisa Meadows, and Julius Brennecke (IMBA) explained why we maintain the library, how is it used for research, and the whole procedure of the library maintenance. As one of only three Drosophila melanogaster stock centres worldwide, VDRC plays an important role in research of function of individual genes and genetically determined diseases. Curious?
