New animation video explains gene expression in unprecedented detail

Another fruitful collaboration between members of the Vienna BioCenter has resulted in a new video. Structural biologist Clemens Plaschka of the Research Institute of Molecular Pathology (IMP) and the visualization team of biolution take viewers on a journey into the cell’s nucleus to discover the secrets of regulated gene expression.

The video is based on a visualization platform developed by biolution with the advice from researchers of the IMP and draws on some recently published data to show aspects of gene transcription in greater detail and with higher accuracy than ever before. It should convey the fascination of conducting research in this area and discover the amazing details, which contribute to gene regulation.

As Plaschka states at the end of the video “We are always on the lookout for great talent to join us”, so don’t be shy and explore the opportunities offered here at the Vienna BioCenter. If you are a motivated graduate in the life sciences or related subjects, please check our training activities https://www.training.vbc.ac.at/ and note that the new PhD selection will open on March 1st under the tag-line “Empowering Curious Researchers”.
